Sophie Ruderman is a London based artist.

The artist loosely terms herself as a landscape painter, using paint to explore an ongoing theme within these fictional landscapes: questioning ones own existence within a place.

Since graduating from the RCA in 2003, Sophie has continued working in London, exhibiting in group shows, travelling and earlier this year spent time on a painting residency in Barcelona.

Sophie has definate plans to return to Australia in October of this year, where she was the artist in residence at the NAS, Sydney in 2002. After Sydney, she will be working in Melbourne for a further six months.
